The principle of transparency implies that there should be appropriate advertising of contracts and tender opportunities. Since 1st of May 2002 Meath County Council no longer advertises full tender notices in the national and local papers.    

All tender notices will be advertised at the Government Etenders website. This site pulls all public sector tenders into one location, to facilitate both suppliers looking for opportunities and contracting authorities trying to manage tendering processes.
