Meath Citizens Information Centres: Do you know what your entitlements are?
Meath Citizens Information Centres offer a free & confidential service to any member of the public on any issue. They provide a wide range of public information and advocacy on topics such as separation, taxation, employment, health, family, youth, education, agriculture, social welfare, etc.
No appointment is necessary; just phone or drop in.
This completely confidential service is offered in a friendly and informal atmosphere.
Citizens Advice in County Meath
In County Meath, there is one key centre, two local centres and four outreach centres. Navan Citizens Information Centre, the key centre, has been in operation for 27 years; Ashbourne Citizens Information Centre has been open for 16 years and Trim Citizens Information Centre celebrated its 10th Anniversary in 2003. Dunshaughlin Ciizens Information Centre recently moved to a new premises on the town's Main Street (beside Credit Union).
The Marriage and Relationship Counselling Service (MRCS) is also based in Navan Citizens Information Centre. Couples, whether married or not and regardless of financial circumstances, can receive counselling.
Ashbourne Citizens Information Centre offers a free legal advice clinic (FLAC) on the first Thursday of every month. Navan Citizen Information Centre introduced FLAC to their offices in October 2003. Anyone with a legal query can receive free legal advice on the first and third Wednesday of every month in Navan. This service is available by appointment only.

Meath Citizens Information Centres are financially supported by Comhairle, a national agency with responsibility for disseminating information on people's rights and entitlements through 85 Citizens Information Centres nationwide. Comhairle also manages a database of information, which the Citizens Information Centres use on a daily basis.
