1916 & World War One Collection
Ashbourne Local History Society have donated a collection of their World War One and 1916 material. This collection is available for loan and is on display in the history section of the library

Music Appreciation Club
Every Wednesday morning 11am – 12.30pm.
Come along and join this informal club, which explores aspects of classical music, traditional Irish music and popular musicals. New members welcome.

Parent & Baby Room
We have a relaxing parent & baby room, including a nappy changing unit, bottle warmer, parent magazines and a CD player for relaxing music.

Parent & Toddler Group Announcement
The group are looking for volunteers to help setting up the group on a Tuesday or Thursday in September. Please leave your name at the library desk if interested.

Parent & Toddler Group
This runs term time only. Tuesday & Thursday mornings between 10am – 12pm.
Bring your child along for games & activities. There is a charge of €2 per morning. On Tuesdays there is also a free stories and songs session with Mary our Librarian, which begins at 11.45am. Ask at the desk for details.

A fun club for kids to learn building with Lego.
Saturdays Ages 6 and under 11am – 12pm, Ages 7+ 12pm – 1pm

Gymboree Play & Music Classes
Every Friday Morning
Music 1 (ages 6 - 16 mths) @ 10am
Music 2 (ages 16mths - 5 yrs) @ 11am

Ashbourne Young Adult Scout Group
Meets every Thursday from 7pm.

Coderdojo Club
Coderdojo is a global collaboration providing free and open learning to young people, especially in programming technology 10th & 24th June. Ages 7—14 years. Book your place for each session via the Ashbourne Coderdojo facebook page. Like the page and leave a message that you wish to attend. All children need a laptop with the ‘Scratch' 2.0 offline editor' ’ programme downloaded from the MIT Scratch website. Parents must attend with their children.

Student Study
Please note that due to the demand for quiet study space, upstairs space is available for Leaving Cert. and College exam study, ask for details at the desk, due to one off events some of these quiet times may vary. Students are welcome to use the spaces at other times but have to bear in mind as a community library, other events may be running. We wish all our students the best of luck with their exams.
