Children's Book Festival

Children’s Book Festival runs for the month of October every year and sees libraries, schools and bookshops across the country hosting events with the very best Irish and international children’s writers and illustrators.

Meath County Council Library Service is delighted to offer a fantastic range of events to schools this October.

Junior Book Club and Family Day

Our Junior Book Club/Family Day will run again this year on Sunday, 21st October in Navan Library, from 2p.m.- 5p.m

The line-up includes illustration workshops with Alan Nolan, workshops with our two Writers-in-Residence, Juliette Saumande and Shane Hegarty, and family storytelling sessions with Billy Teare and Kathleen O’Sullivan. Our book doctors will be available throughout the afternoon helping you choose your next read. Antonia’s Bookstore will have a pop-up bookshop in the library for the day.  There will be refreshments and activities to keep young and old entertained.
