Special Event for children on the Autism Spectrum. Ages 5-10. Interactive Storytelling and bug-making.
(NOTE: The Library will be closed to the public for this event)

Interactive comedy and circus skills Show. Suitable for all ages.

Talk by Award-winning children author. Suitable for ages 10+

John Kane 1.30 – 2.00pm
New author, John, will be reading his popular debut book. Suitable for ages 4-7’s

Kunak McGann 2.15 – 3.00pm
Author of Red Rover, Red Rover will be teaching children all about Games for an Irish Childhood.
Suitable for ages  7+

Tarsila Krüse 4.00 – 5.00pm
Illustration workshop with a Dublin based award-winning children’s illustrator
Suitable for ages 7-10

STEAM Saturday 2.15 - 3.45pm
Open-ended play session with Magformers, Lego and more. No booking necessary

The award-winning (Hennessy Literary Award, Irish Times Fiction Award) novelist, short story writer, actor and poet reads from his work.

Exploring Brontë 200 years
Sunday 24th of June, 7pm
Kells Arts Club present the Brontë family in poetry, stories, music and film.

Short Story Competition Winner- Reading
Sunday 24th of June, 8pm.
During the month of May Hinterland received submissions from short story writers. Selected by members of Kells Arts Club, the winner will give a reading from their winning entry.

Children’s Events:

Kells Junior Book Club for ages 8-10
Friday 8th of June, 3.30-4.15pm
We are reading ‘Sherlock Holmes and the disappearing diamond’ by Sam Hearn.


Adult Events:

Kells Writers Group
Thursday evenings at 6.30pm
A friendly and informal group meeting once a week, so if you have a potential book in you, why not come along and join the group.

Adult Knitting/Crochet Club
Wednesday mornings 10.30am - 12.30pm
Tea and coffee provided. All levels welcome.
