Work matters

The Work Matters service, based in Navan Library and Ashbourne Library, offers resources to those interested in starting up their own business, seeking employment or are looking for a change of career.

A collection of relevant books and journals is available in these libraries and can also be reserved at any of the public libraries in Meath or online at

Topics covered include business planning, PR & marketing, HR, entrepreneurship, agribusiness, digital marketing, accounting, health and safety, job seeking, CV preparation and interview skills.

The online resource, Vision-net (an Irish and UK companies database) is available to all Meath Library members. A valid library card is needed.

Library membership is free. Apply at your local library, producing photo ID and proof of address to join.

A wide range of information from local and national agencies, whose role is to provide assistance and advice to individuals and to small businesses, is also available.

Dedicated work space and meeting rooms in Ashbourne and Navan Libraries can be booked in advance are also available along with photocopying, printing and scanning services.

Free internet access and Wi-Fi are offered to library members.
