Anti Litter League 2008
Meath County Council's Anti Litter League 2008
You are invited to take part in Meath County Council’s Anti-Litter League 2008. You may have taken part in the past or may be an entirely new entrant. Either way this is a great opportunity for your group to get involved in a great initiative to help improve the appearance of your area.
Format of the Competition
The competition will start on the 3rd March and will run for 8 weeks up to 25th April 2008. Judging will take place on a fortnightly basis and points will be lost for the presence of litter. The League results will be published and broadcast in the media weekly for the first 3 rounds of judging with the last round of results remaining a mystery until the awards ceremony in May when all winners will be announced.
All those participating are invited to come to the Council Chamber in County Hall, Railway Street, Navan on Wednesday 27th February 2008 between 4 and 6pm to collect an anti litter pack for your group. Registered groups will be provided with litter pickers, gloves and bags. We hope to have some action packs from National Spring Clean for you if they are ready on time. Light refreshments will be served.
