Anti Litter League 2009

NEW FORMAT for Towns and Villages!

Given the high standards which are consistently achieved throughout the anti Litter League, a new standard is to be introduced into the competition, allowing towns and villages to achieve a ‘Medal’ standard.

Once a town or village consistently achieves a specific standard over each and every judging period throughout the competition, they will be awarded a Medal.

The standards are set as follows:

Over 85% for each round of Judging – Bronze Medal
Over 90% for each roundof Judging – Silver Medal
Over 95% for each round of Judging – Gold Medal

Once you have achieved a medal, 2 plaques will be erected on entry roads to your town or village indicating your achievement in the Anti Litter League.

The plaques will be erected by Meath County Council during May 2009, in time for the National Tidy Towns judging which begins in June.

These medals will remain in place until superceeded by your next achievement in the competition.

Please note that at present, this element of the competition does not apply to housing estates.
