Pride of Place Competition Results 2007

Meath County Council's Pride of Place competition has now been in operation since 2003 and success has continued with this initiative, with the numbers of participants and interest in it expanding considerably. At an awards ceremony on Friday 19th October in Warrenstown College, participants in Pride of Place 2007 were treated to a synopsis of the competition so far through a video, snapshots and an outline on what Pride of Place has meant to the various areas that have taken part over the years.

It is important to maintain and enhance the character and heritage of our approach roads to towns and villages as they provide the initial impression of the centre. This is evident when you visit all the approach roads entered into this category this year:

Best Overall Housing Estate Awards in County Meath: 

County Meath is abounding with housing estates, some of these are old and some are new. Many are filled with active residents that are enthusiastic about the places they live and want to create positive enjoyable surroundings for all.
