Guth Gafa International Documentary Film Festival - Taster!

Date Released: 26 August 2015

SCREENINGS OF AWARD-WINNING FILMS EVERY THURSDAY FROM AUGUST 27TH TO SEPTEMBER 24TH IN DUKES BROS ON MARKET ST, KELLS @7.30PM

The Guth Gafa International Documentary Film Festival takes place in Kells, Co. Meath from Oct 2nd-4th.

In the lead up to Guth Gafa, we will be hosting screenings of amazing, life-changing documentaries in our new home of Dukes Bros, Market St, Kells at 7.30pm every Thursday evening.

This Thursday 27th August, we start with ThuleTuvalu, a documentary from award-winning Swiss filmmaker Matthias von Gunten.

Described in Variety magazine as "a handsomely lensed, fascinating portrait of two communities that exist on opposite sides of the planet, yet are unexpectedly connected", ThuleTuvalu looks at how melting ice in northern Greenland will literally drown the island nation of Tuvalu in the South Pacific.

Having screened at festivals around the world, including at Guth Gafa last year, we are delighted to open this session of screenings with ThuleTuvalu as a taster of the type of amazing film you will see at this year's Guth Gafa! Check out the trailer at

There will also be a chance on the night to win some tickets to the 2015 festival!

We look forward to seeing you there!
