Ratoath Youth Arts Taster Sessions
Meath County Council Arts Office and Ratoath Youth Arts Festival are delighted to announce Ratoath Youth Arts Taster Sessions. This two day event will take place on February 18th and 19th 2016 at The Venue, Ratoath. It is suitable for young people aged between 12 – 17 years and is open to all young people from County Meath.
Ratoath Youth Arts Taster Sessions aims to enhance and develop the creative potential of young people and also offers them an opportunity to work with professional artists from Meath. No previous experience is necessary, just some creative ideas and enthusiasm required!
Young people attending can participate in Theatre, Pottery, Film, Samba Drumming, Animation, Street Art and Contemporary Dance. Each two hour workshop is designed to give young people an understanding of that particular art form through practical, fun and engaging arts activity.
The Ratoath Youth Arts Taster Sessions runs at The Venue, Ratoath. Morning workshops from 11am – 1pm are suitable for 12- 14 years; afternoon workshops from 2pm – 4pm are suitable for 15 – 17 years.

- Pottery/Sculpture with Fiona Smith Darragh
- Theatre/ Drama with Jason Byrne
Friday February 19th
12- 14 yrs 11am – 1pm 15-17 yrs 2pm – 4pm
- Samba Drumming with Dorian Bordalo
- Stop Motion Animation with Delphine Coudray
- Street Art with Mark Smith
- Contemporary Dance/ Choreography with Ella Clarke
