Operation Transformation National Walks 2018

 

Meath Local Sports Partnership and Sport Ireland have linked up with the Operation Transformation team to promote National Walk Day on Saturday 13th January.

 

Organisers welcome all ages and abilities along on the day and would like to see families getting involved. The event is ideal for beginners to come out and give it a go. Children must be accompanied by an adult. In the interest of safety and out of respect to other walkers, dogs are not allowed.

 

There are a number of walks happening across the county on the day – check out walks below for one that suits you:

 

  • Trim: distance 3.7km (along Slí na Sláinte route), meet in front of the castle at 10am.
  • Navan:distance 5km (in Blackwater Park), meet at car park in Blackwater Park at 10.30am.
  • Kells: distance 5km, meet at Kells Resource Centre at 10am.
  • Ashbourne: distance 4km (along Slí na Sláinte route), meet at Garda Station at 10am.
  • Castletown: distance 5km, meet at the community centre at 10am.
  • Dunboyne: distance 5km, meet at Dunboyne Church car park at 11am.
  • Cormeen: distance 5km, meet at Cormeen Sports Complex at 11am.
