Traffic / Roads Update - Temporary Road Closure - Kells - L6830-0 and L6830-14 - from Monday, 3rd November, 2014 to Monday, 22nd December, 2014

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROADS – L6830-0 and L6830-14

 

Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council intends to close the roads:

i)          The L6830-0 at Seymourstown Black and Seymourstown White between the junction with the R163 and the junction with the L6826.

ii)        The L6830-14 at Crossakeel between the junction with the R163 and the junction with the L2801.

The closure is necessary to facilitate the installation of a new gas main along these sections of road.

Duration: It is proposed to close the roads from Monday, 3rd November, 2014 to Monday, 22nd December, 2014. Please note that the works on the roads will be phased and at no time will both sections of road be closed simultaneously.

Alternative Routes:

i)          L6830-0

-     Travelling Southbound:

At junction with L6826 continue onto junction with L6829, turn right and continue to Ballally crossroads, turn right onto R163 and continue to Magee’s crossroads.

-      Travelling Northbound:

At junction with R163 at Magee’s crossroads continue onto junction with L6829 at Ballaly crossroad, turn left onto L6829, continue onto junction with L6826-35, turn left and continue onto junction with L6830-0.

ii)        L6830-14

-      Travelling Southbound:

At junction with Magee’s crossroads continue on R163 to junction with L2801-66, turn right and continue to junction with L6830-14.

-      Travelling Northbound:

At junction with L2801-66 continue onto junction with R163, turn left and continue to Magee’s cross

Diversions will be put in place with route approved by Meath County Council. Local access and pedestrians will be accommodated at all times. Diversions will be in place and will be sign posted at each junction point.

Local Access:  Access for residents and property holders will be facilitated throughout the closure period.

 

Submissions relating to the proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing to Roads Section, Meath County Council, Kells Civic Office, Kells, Co. Meath on or before 4.00p.m. on Thursday, 9th October, 2014 .
