TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROADS IN CONNECTION WITH A ST. PATRICK’S DAY FESTIVAL IN ASHBOURNE, CO. MEATH 

Having given notice Meath County Council has made an order to temporarily close the roads listed below to through traffic on the date and times specified. These intended temporary road closures are necessary to facilitate the Ashbourne Chamber of Commerce St. Patrick’s Day Festival.
 

Dates and Times of Intended Road Closures and Roads Affected: 

R135 Frederick Street from its junction with Declan St to its junction with Broadmeadow Street 2.00p.m to 5.00p.m on Tuesday, 17th March, 2015. 

Broadmeadow Street from its junction with Frederick Street to its junction with Castle Street 2.00p.m to 5.00p.m on Tuesday, 17th March, 2015. 

Broadmeadow Street from its junction with Frederick Street to the entrance to Tesco Car Park from 6.00p.m Monday 16th March 2015 to 10.00p.m Tuesday, 17th March, 2015. 

Killegland Street from its junction with Broadmeadow Street to its junction with Declan Street. 2.00p.m to 5.00p.m on Tuesday, 17th March 2015. 

Declan Street from its junction with Frederick Street to its junction with Castle Street 2.00p.m to 5.00p.m on Tuesday, 17th March, 2015. 

Alternative Routes:

Southbound traffic should take a right turn onto the L50192 Castle Street and continue through the roundabout to the traffic lights to take a right turn to rejoin the R135 at Bridge Street.

Northbound traffic should take a left turn at the traffic lights on the R135 at Bridge Street onto the L50192 Castle Street and continue through the roundabout to rejoin the R135 Frederick Street.

Diversion signs will be in place. Local access – Access for residents and property holders will be facilitated throughout the closure period.
