Traffic / Roads Update - Temporary Road Closure - Navan - Meath County Council has made an order to close the R-153 Kentstown Road at New Bridge in Navan, 20th July 2015 to Friday, 21st August 2015 inclusive

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROAD
KENTSTOWN ROAD (REGIONAL ROAD R-153) at New Bridge in Navan
Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council has made an order to close the R-153 Kentstown Road at New Bridge in Navan.
This closure is required to facilitate remedial works to the Arch Barrell on New Bridge.
DURATION
The closure will commence on Monday, 20th July 2015 and will continue for a duration of 5 weeks to Friday, 21st August 2015 inclusive.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
From East to West
The traffic is to be diverted east on the R-153 for a distance of 1,900m to its junction with the L-5055 Metges Road. At the junction, traffic is directed south onto the L-5055 Metges Road. From here, continue for a distance of 600m on the L-5055-5 to its junction with the L-50555 Sion Road. Turn west onto the L-50555 Sion Road and continue for a distance of 830m to its junction with the R-147. At the junction, turn north onto the R-147 and continue for a distance of 1,450m.
From West to East
The traffic is to be diverted south on the R-147 for a distance of 1,450m to the junction with the L-50555 Sion Road. At the junction, traffic is directed east onto the L-50555-. From here, continue for a distance of 830m to the junction with the L-5055 Metges Road. Turn north onto the L-5055 Metges road and continue for a distance of 600m to its junction with the R-153. From here, turn west and continue on the R-153 for a distance of 1,900m.
Diversion signs will be in place.

Pedestrians will be facilitated with access throughout the closure period.
