Traffic / Roads Update - Temporary Road Closure - Ballyboy - from 8.00a.m. on Monday, 31st August, 2015 to 6.00p.m. on Friday, 23rd October, 2015

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF N51 AND R164 AT BALLYBOY, CO. MEATH.

 

It is proposed to temporarily close the following roads to facilitate essential road construction works:-

N51 Navan Athboy Road and the R164 Kells Athboy Road to be closed to through traffic at the N51/R164 junction at Ballyboy from 8.00a.m. on Monday, 31st August, 2015 to 6.00p.m. on Friday, 23rd October, 2015.

The alternative routes available are:-

(i)          M3(J9)/Navan to/from Athboy: M3(J9) to Navan via N51, to Kells via R147, to Athboy via N52  and R154 and vice versa.

(ii)         M3(J9)/Navan to/from Delvin via M3(J9) to Navan via N51, to Kells via R147, to Delvin via N52 and vice versa.

(iii)       Kells to/from Athboy via R941, N52 and R154 and vice versa.

Extensive diversion and information signage will be in place.

Submissions and observations to the proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing to the Administrative Officer, Meath County Council, Transportation Section, County Hall, Navan, Co. Meath, or by email to transport@meathcoco.ie on or before 20th August, 2015.
