TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROADS IN CONNECTION WITH
CONSTRUCTION OF A LIVESTOCK UNDERPASS BELOW THE PUBLIC ROAD R161 AT
DOOLEYSTOWN AND BRANNOCKSTOWN, TRIM, CO. MEATH.
Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council intends to close the following roads listed below to through traffic on the date and times specified.
Duration: Monday, 19th October, 2015 to Sunday, 25th October inclusive.
- R161 from the junction with the R156 to the junction with the L-80141-0 (Townlands of Dooleystown and Brannockstown)
Diversion signs will be in place.
Alternative Routes:
- Travelling on the R161 from Kinnegad towards Trim
Take the R161 from Kinnegad heading north, turn right onto the R156 for Rathmolyon, turn left onto the R160 for Trim, take the next left onto the L-80141-0, take the next right (T-junction) onto the R161 for Trim.
- Travelling on the R161 from Trim towards Kinnegad
Take the R161 from Trim heading south, turn left onto the L-80141-0, take the next right onto the R160 for Longwood, turn right onto the R156 for Ballivor, take the next left onto the R161 for Kinnegad.
These intended temporary road closures are necessary to facilitate the construction of a livestock underpass below the public road R161 at Dooleystown and Brannockstown, Trim, Co. Meath.
Local Access: Residents and property holders will be facilitated by agreement throughout the closure period.
Submissions on the proposed temporary road closures should be made in writing to Alan Rogers, Administrative Officer, Transportation Section, Navan Civic Offices, Town Hall, Watergate Street, Navan, Co. Meath on or before 4.00p.m., Friday, 25th September, 2015.
