Traffic / Roads Update - TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROADS TO FACILITATE THE AN POST MEATH HERITAGE CYCLE TOUR - Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council intends to close the following roads listed below to through traffic on the date and times specified.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROADS

TO FACILITATE THE AN POST MEATH HERITAGE CYCLE TOUR

 

Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council intends to close the following roads listed below to through traffic on the date and times specified.

Saturday 23rd July, 2016 

  • R898-0 Castle Street, Trim                                                   1:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.

R898-0 (Castle Street) from the junction with the R160-1 (Trim Ring Road) to the junction with Finnegan’s Way

(Townland of Manorland (1st Division))

  • L2204-14 and L2204-0 Laracor to Scurlogstown            5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.

L2204-14 & L2204-0 from the junction with the R158-21 (Summerhill/Kilcock Road) to the junction with the R154-28 (Dublin Road)

(Townlands of Scurlogstown, Freffan’s Little, Stokestown, Knightbrook and Laracor)

Sunday 24th July, 2016 

  • R898-0 Castle Street, Trim                                                  6:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.

Alternative Routes for the R898-0:

R160-1 to Finnegan’s Way

-        Travelling from the R160-1 (Trim Ring Road) to Finnegan’s’ Way

Take the R160-1 heading south, turn right onto the L8015-0 (Patrick St), turn right onto the R161-87 (Emmet St), turn right onto Finnegan’s Way, turn left onto the R898-0

Finnegan’s Way to R160-1

-        Travelling from Finnegan’s Way to the R160-1 (Trim Ring Road)

Take Finnegan’s Way heading west, turn left onto the R161-87 (Emmet St), turn left onto the L8015-0 (Patrick St), turn left onto the R160-1 (Trim Ring Road)

This closure is necessary to facilitate the An Post Meath Heritage Cycle Tour.

Diversion Signs will be in place.

Local Access:  Access for residents and property holders will be facilitated throughout the closure period.

Submissions on the proposed temporary road closures should be made in writing to the Administrative Officer, Meath County Council, Navan Civic Office, Watergate Street, Navan, Co Meath or by email to transport@meathcoco.ie on or before 4.00p.m. on Wednesday, 6th July, 2016.
