Traffic / Roads Update - Temporary Road Closure - Tankardstown - Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council intends to temporarily close the L5629-0 – Tankardstown

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROADS - TANKARDSTOWN

 

Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council intends to temporarily close the L5629-0 – Tankardstown, for a distance of approximately 100m north of its junction with the L56297-0 – Rochestown Road, to public traffic during the period specified below.

This intended temporary road closure is necessary to facilitate the construction of a cattle underpass, crossing the L5629-0, and associated minor works.

Duration of intended Road Closure:

The intended road closure is from 9.30a.m. on Monday, 22nd August, 2016 to 5.00p.m. on Friday, 9th September, 2016.

Alternative Routes: Northbound traffic:

Travel north on the L5629-0 Tankardstown Road, turn right onto L16252-0 Braystown, turning left onto L16252-0 Davidstown, turn left at Sally Garden onto L1624-0 to Tankardstown. Diversion rejoins the end of the road closure section at the junction with the L5629-0 Tankardstown Road.

Alternative Routes: Southbound traffic:

Travel south towards the junction for the L5629-0 Tankardstown Road: Continue on the L1624-0 Tankardstown towards Sally Garden. At Sally Garden turn right onto the L1625-0 and head south. Turn right onto the L16252-0 Davidstown, continue until the end of the road, turn right onto the L5629-0. Diversion rejoins the end of the road closure section at the junction with the L5629-0 and the L56297-0 Rochestown Road.

Diversion routes will be signposted

Local Access:

Access for residents and property holders will be provided throughout the closure period, but the section of road where the works are taking place will be impassable.

Anyone who wishes to object to the proposed temporary road closure should do so in writing to Meath County Council, Duleek Civic Offices, Main Street, Duleek, Co. Meath A92 R9KW or by email to fhughes@meathcoco.ie on or before 12.00 Thursday, 4th August, 2016.
