DULEEK VILLAGE

TRAFFIC CALMING SCHEME

(Traffic Calming Tables)

 

Meath County Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 and Section 46 of the Public Transport Regulation Act, 2009, hereby gives notice that it has prepared a Scheme for the provision of traffic calming measures in the village of Duleek.

The Scheme provides for;

a)        The Provision of a Speed Table at the junction of the R150(Main Street) and L56102 (Carey’s Lane).

b)        The Provision of a Speed Table at the junction of the R150(Main Street) and L56107 (Colgans Street)

c)         Reducing the L56102 to a one way system from its junction with the R150 to a point 65 m south of the Junction

d)        Reducing the L56102 And the L16091 to a one way system from The Junction of the R150(Main Street) and L56102 around the Village Green to the Junction of the L16091 and the R150(Main Street)

e)        Relocation of Existing Pedestrian Crossing 15m west of current location

f)         Provision of New Bus Stops

g)        Additional appropriate advanced warning signage will also be provided.

h)        Realigned Kerblines and additional paved pedestrian areas

The plans and particulars of the proposed scheme will be available for inspection during office hours at the offices of the Local Authority listed below:

  • Meath County Council, Planning Department, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, Co. Meath
  • Meath County Council, Transportation Department, Railway Street, Navan, Co. Meath
  • Laytown/Bettystown Municipal District Office, Main Street, Duleek, Co. Meath

from 20th September, 2016 until the 17thOctober, 2016and will be available for purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during office hours at the offices of Meath County Council, listed below:

  • Meath County Council, Laytown/Bettystown Municipal District Office, Main Street, Duleek, Co. Meath

from Tuesday, 20th September, 2016 until Monday, 17thOctober, 2016.

Representations in relation to the proposed junction improvements, may be made in writing to the road authority as follows: The Director of Services, Meath County Council, Transportation Department, Railway Street, Navan, Co. Meath or emailed to transport@meathcoco.ie on or before 4.00p.m. on Monday, 17thOctober, 2016.
