Laytown

 (Provision of a Pedestrian Crossing and Traffic Signals to control traffic flow under the Railway Bridge on the R150 in Laytown, Co Meath)

 

Meath County Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 and Section 46 of the Public Transport Regulation Act, 2009, hereby gives notice that it has prepared a scheme for the installation of a Signalised Traffic Management Scheme to control the traffic flow underneath the railway bridge on the R150, to allow for better traffic management and safer pedestrian access underneath the existing bridge at Laytown, Co. Meath.

 

The Scheme provides for:

a)      Installation of traffic signal on each side of the existing bridge, to provide a signalised Stop / Go traffic management system for traffic,

b)      Installation of a pedestrian crossing facility on the east side of the bridge to provide a safe crossing point between the Park & Ride facility and the train station

c)      Construction of a footpath underneath the railway bridge on the R150 to provide a safe pedestrian connection between the Park & Ride facility and the train station.

 

 

The plans and particulars of the proposed scheme will be available for inspection during office hours at the offices of the Local Authority listed below:

from Wednesday 26th April, 2017 to 30th May, 2017 and will be available for purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during office hours at the offices of Meath County Council, listed below:

Meath C15 Y291 or emailed to planning@meathcoco.ie on or before 5pm on Tuesday 30th May, 2017.
