Temporary Closure of Roads in Connection with a Motor Rally being organised by

 ALMC Motor Club

 

Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council intends to close the following roads listed below to through traffic on the date and times specified.

 

Sunday 2nd   July, 2017  

- Stage 1   Rathcore                            09:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs

- Stage 2   Longwood                          09:00 hrs to 18:30 hrs

- Stage 3   Kildalkey                           09:30 hrs to 19:00 hrs

 

These are the maximum permitted road closure periods but the organisers may reopen the roads earlier should the event finish ahead of schedule.

 

Local Access:

Residents and Property holders will be facilitated by advance agreement with the organisers during the closure period.

 

Stages 1-4-7  “Rathcore”

 

  • L-62253-19 from the junction with the R-159-33 to the junction with the L -80142-10

(Townlands of Strany Beg & Killballyporter onto Kill Bridge)

 

  • L-80142-10 from the junction with the L-62253-19 at Kill Bridge to the junction with the L-6225-0 (Townlands of Corballis, Togher)

 

  • L-6225-0 from the junction with the L-80142-10 to the junction with the L-62252-0 and ahead for 200m

Alternative Routes for the R-161

 

      Kinegad to Trim

  • Travelling on the R161 from Kinnegad towards  Balivor or Trim

 

Take the R148 in Kinnegad heading east, turn left onto the R160 for Longwood, pass through Longwood on the R160 and take the R156 for Ballivor or continue on R160 for Trim.

 

Ballivor or Trim to Kinnegad

  • Travelling on the R161 from Ballivor or Trim towards Kinnegad

 

Take the R161 in Trim heading south west, continue. Turn left on R156, turn right onto R160 for Longwood, continue, turn right onto R148 towards Kinnegad

 

Take the R156 in Ballivor heading east, turn right onto the R160, towards Longwood, continue, turn right onto R148 towards Kinnegad

 

Stages 3-6-9  “Kildalkey”

 

  • L-40122-0 from the junction with the R-156 to the junction with the L-40121-0

These intended temporary road closures are necessary to facilitate the holding of a motor rally comprising of three (3) loops of the three (3) special stages.

 

Local Access:

Residents and Property holders will be facilitated by advance agreement with the organisers during the closure period.

 

Submissions on the proposed temporary road closures should be made in writing to the Administrative Officer, Transportation Department, Meath County Council, County Hall, Navan, Co Meath C15AW81, or by email to transport@meathcoco.ie on or before 4pm Friday 9th June 2017.
