Traffic / Roads Update - Temporary Closure of the Regional road R898-0 (Castle Street), Trim, Co. Meath from 11.00 to 17:30 hrs on Sunday 27th August 2017 - This road closure is required to facilitate the start of The Race Around Ireland marathon cycling event.

 Proposed Temporary Closure of the Regional Road R898-0 (Castle Street), Trim, Co. Meath

 

 

Meath County Council has made an order to temporarily close the Regional Road R898-0 (castle st), Trim, Co. Meath.

 

The closure will be as listed below;

 

(a) The R898-0 (Castle St) from its junction with Finnegan’s Way to its junction with the R160-0 (Trim Ring Road) from 11.00 to 17:30 hrs on Sunday 27th August 2017.

 

Period of Road Closure – times as outlined above

 

This road closure is required to facilitate the start of The Race Around Ireland marathon cycling event.

 

Alternative Routes for the R898-0 (Castle Street)

 

Travelling South from Market Street to the Ring Road

From Market St., take Castle St (R898-0) heading south to Finnegan’s Way; turn right onto Finnegan’s Way and continue on to Emmet St (R161-87) and turn left.  Continue on Emmet St to Patrick St (L8015-0) and turn left, continue on Patrick St to the Ring Road.

 

Travelling from the Ring Road to Market Street

Take the Ring Road south to Patrick St (L8015-0) and turn right, continue on Patrick Street and turn right onto Emmet St (R161-87), continue on Emmet St to Market Street.

 

Local diversion and information signage will be in place. Access for residents and property holders will be facilitated throughout the closure period.
