Traffic / Roads Update - Notice of the intention of the making of “KELLS HEAVY GOODS VEHICLES (HGV) TRAFFIC RESTRICTION BYE-LAWS 2018”. The said Bye-Laws will come into force from 1st January 2018 - Submissions to the proposed declaration may be made in writing on or before Tuesday, 17th October, 2017.

NOTICE OF MAKING OF

“KELLS HEAVY GOODS VEHICLES (HGV) TRAFFIC RESTRICTION BYE-LAWS 2018”

 

Meath County Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Part 19 of the Local Government Act 2001 (No. 37 of 2001) (as amended) hereby gives Notice of the intention of the making of “KELLS HEAVY GOODS VEHICLES (HGV) TRAFFIC RESTRICTION BYE-LAWS 2018”.

 

These 2018 Bye-Laws are being introduced in the interests of the common good of the community, and restricts vehicles having 4 axles or more from entering within Kells, Co. Meath.  The said Bye-Laws will come into force from 1st January 2018.

 

The Kells, Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) Traffic Restriction Byelaws, 2016 (the 2016 Byelaws) are revoked as and from the date of the coming into effect of these Byelaws save in respect of any prosecutions for breaches of the 2016 Byelaws. Nothing in these Byelaws shall affect the validity of any Act done under the 2016 Byelaws.

 

A copy of the 2018 Bye-Laws may be inspected at the following locations:

  • Kells Municipal District Offices, Town Hall, Headfort Place, Kells, Co. Meath. A82 W2R3
  • Meath County Council Offices, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, Co. Meath. C15 Y291

 

from Monday 11th September 2017 to Tuesday 10th October 2017 between the hours of:  

 

Monday:                     9.00a.m. to 1.00p.m. and 2.00p.m. to 5.30p.m.

Tuesday to Friday:     9.00a.m. to 1.00p.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 5.00p.m.

 

A copy of the 2018 Bye-Laws can be purchased by any person on payment of sum of €5 in the Offices referred to above.
