Traffic / Roads Update - Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council has made an order to close a section of the L-5018 (Ballybin Road) from the Junction of the L-5018 with the R125 and the L-5018 with the R135 - closure will commence on Monday 2nd October and will continue until Thursday 5th October 2017 (inclusive) from 9.30am to 4.00pm

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROAD

 A section of the L-5018 (Ballybin Road) from the Junction of the L-5018 with the R125 and the L-5018 with the R135

 

Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council has made an order to close a section of the L-5018 (Ballybin Road) from the Junction of the L-5018 with the R125 and the L-5018 with the R135 in the townlands of Ratoath, Ballybin and Cookstown

This closure is required to facilitate the felling and pruning of a number of trees along a section of the Ballybin Road (L-5018), Ratoath, County Meath.

 

DURATION

The closure is to commence on Monday 02nd October 2017 and will continue until Thursday 05th October 2017 (inclusive) from 9.30am to 4.00pm.

 

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

The Ballybin Road (L-5018) and the R125 Junction - In the Easterly Direction

The traffic is to be diverted from the junction of the L-5018 (Ballybin Road) and the R125 in an easterly direction along the R125 to the junction with the Kilbride Road (L-1007) and then continue easterly along the R125 to its junction with the L-10073 and further along the R125 to its junction with the L-5032 and the L-50193. At the Nine Mile Stone Roundabout the traffic can continue through the roundabout in a north westerly direction along the R135 to the junctions with the L-50193, L-50191, L-50192, L-5019, L-50196 and the L-50192. Travelling onwards to Rath Crossroads.

 

The Ballybin Road (L-5018) and the R135 Junction - In the South Easterly Direction

The traffic is to be diverted from the junction of the L-5018 (Ballybin Road) and the R135 in a south easterly direction along the R135 to the junctions with the L-50192, L-50196, L-5019, L-50192, L-50191, and the L-50193. At the Nine Mile Stone Roundabout the traffic can continue through the roundabout in a westerly direction or in the direction of Ratoath along the R125 to the junctions of L-50193, L-5032, L-10073, and the L-1007.  

 

Diversion signs will be in place.

 

Local Access

Residents and property holders will be facilitated with access throughout the closure period.
