TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROAD

 

BREWS HILL (LOCAL ROAD L-3416) FROM ITS JUNCTION WITH RAILWAY ST. (REGIONAL ROAD R161) TO THE JUNCTION WITH COMMONS ROAD (LOCAL ROAD L-3414)

 

Notice is hereby given that Meath County Council intends to close the L-3416 Brew Hill, Navan, Co. Meath.

This closure is required to facilitate the construction of a pedestrian crossing adjacent to the entrance to the Mercy Convent Schools.

 

DURATION

The closure will commence on Tuesday 14th August 2018 at 8.00am and will continue to Thursday 16th August at 8.00pm.

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

From East to West

The traffic is to be diverted from the junction of Brews Hill and Railway St., north on the R895 (Canon Row) for a distance of 300m to the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the L-5118 (Boreen Keel). From here, continue south for a distance of 360m on the L-5118 to its junction with the L-3416 (Brews Hill) and L-3414 (Commons Road). Diversion ends.

From West to East

The traffic is to be diverted from the junction of Brews Hill (L-3416) and Boreen Keel (L-5118) north on the L-5118 (Boreen Keel) for a distance of 350m to the roundabout at junction with the R895 (Canon Row). At the roundabout, take 2nd exit and traffic is directed north onto the L-8950-18 (Abbey Road). From here, continue for a distance of 100m to the roundabout at the junction with the L-8950-3 (Kennedy Road). At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and traffic is diverted east onto the L-8950-3 (Kennedy Road). Continue eastwards on the L-8950-3 (Kennedy Road) for a distance of 400m to its junction with the R-161-3 (Trimgate St). Diversion ends.

Diversion signs will be in place.

Local access to residents and businesses will be accommodated.

 

Pedestrian Access

Pedestrians will be facilitated with access throughout the closure period.
