Civil Defence Training Classes

Training programmes include:

  • First Aid
  • Rescue skills
  • Radio Communications
  • Map Reading skills
  • Fire-fighting skills
  • Welfare and catering
  • Radiological monitoring and sampling
  • Search skills
  • Water search using boats and kayaks

Training takes place on a weekly basis between September and June at the following locations:

  • Ashbourne Co. Council Offices - Tuesday nights 8.00 p.m. - 10.00 p.m.
  • Duleek Parish Rooms – Tuesday nights 8.00 p.m. – 10.00 p.m.
  • Dunboyne Old School – Monday nights 8.30 p.m. – 10.30 p.m.
  • Dunshaughlin Community Centre – Wednesday nights 8.00 p.m. – 10.00 p.m.
  • Kells Iona Hall – Thursday nights 8.30 p.m. – 10.30 p.m.
  • Navan Fire Station, Abbey Rd., – Wednesday nights 8.00 p.m. – 10.00 p.m.
  • Oldcastle Credit Union Board Room - Thursday nights 8.00 p.m. - 10.00 p.m. 
  • Trim Fire Station – Monday nights 8.00 p.m. – 10.00 p.m.
