Dog Pound - Meath

Below are dogs currently available through the Meath Dog Pound.

The Meath Dog Pound is located at Rathmaiden, Slane, Co. Meath, operated by Peter and Susan Whelan. See location, opening hours and contact details.

All dogs that are rehomed have their first vaccination and are microchipped.  There is a €100 rehoming fee which also covers their licence. Dogs in the Meath Pound have 5 days to be reclaimed by their owners from the day they were taken in as a stray. If they are not reclaimed, they will be up for adoption by the Meath Dog Pound, however, may be put to sleep if they are not adopted soon.

If you see a dog that you would like to consider, please contact Peter Whelan at the Meath Dog Pound directly.

See also Dogs who need Homes who are currently in Foster Care.

If you cannot find a dog suitable for you in the Meath Pound, please consider dogs currently in the Drogheda Animal Rescue www.dar.ie or at Last Hope Animal Charity www.lasthope.ie

We give the dogs names - so if you see your dog in these photos, they MAY HAVE A DIFFERENT NAME on this website! Please contact the Dog Pound if you see your dog in the photos.
