Fire Safety Certificates

A Fire Safety Certificate is required for the construction of a new building, any material alterations to buildings, change of use of buildings, extension to buildings etc.  The only exception is that a Fire Safety Certificate is not required for domestic buildings. 

You can find out if your development/premises requires a Fire Safety Certificate by contacting the Building Control Section of Meath County Council at 046-9097000 or visit our Building and Fire Safety Regulations Section, which includes a download for an Application Form for a Fire Safety Certificate.
