Essential Repairs Grant

The Essential Repairs Grant Scheme ceased as of 1 November 2007.

It was replaced by both the "Housing Aid for the Elderly" and "Mobility Aid" grant scheme.

In 2008 over €6 million was granted and paid to circa 650 applicants living in Meath under the three grant schemes for elderly and disabled persons thanks to increased funding sought by Meath County Council Housing Department and received from the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government. 

Due to the huge demand for grant funding from members of the public, and the amount of funding and resources available to deal with this, and funding being exhausted, these schemes are now closed.
