Is there a closing date?
There are two Tenant Purchase Schemes, the 1995 Tenant Purchase Scheme for Tenants of up to 10 years tenancy, and The 2011 Fixed Term Tenant Purchase Scheme for tenants with over 10 years tenancy.
The closing date for the 1995 Tenant Purchase Scheme has not as yet been set by the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government other than as a date sometime in 2012.
The closing date for the 2011 Fixed Term Tenant Purchase Scheme is set as 31 December 2011 for receipt of valid application and sales must be complete by 31 December 2012, so anyone wishing to make application under this scheme is advised to do so as soon as possible.
