Social Leasing Initiative
Social Leasing Initiative for Unsold Affordable Homes
Meath County Council is pleased to announce details of new homes being made available under the Social Leasing Initiative.
This scheme utilises Affordable homes which have remained unsold due to the economic downturn. The properties will be used for Social Housing purposes for an initial period of five years.
So far 20 households from the Meath housing waiting list have been accommodated under this scheme, with more properties becoming available soon.
Grange Rath, Near Drogheda
The homes provided are of a high quality and Meath County Council has been working in partnership with Clúid Housing Association to ensure the smooth transfer and letting of the properties. Clúid Housing Association was selected to manage and maintain the units through a competitive tender process.
Ardmore, Bettystown
The Council has adopted a life cycle approach to the long term housing needs of applicants on the Social Housing list, and matching their needs to their individual choices for housing provision.
