The Book discussed was Step by Wicked Step by Anne Fine
Name: Emma Halpin
Age: 9
This book is about five children who come across the story of a boy called Richard. Richard's life was so sad when his Dad got a fever and died. Pixie read the story out. Soon they were all telling their own story. All their parents had split up and they all had step parents. At the beginning the stories are not very happy at all but the endings are much better. I think this is a very good book.

My favourite person in this book is Claudia. I don't like Ralph because he keeps on butting in. Their stories are all alike. I think Mr. Plumey is a bit crazy.

The book was very good. My favourite character was Holly because she was cool and she was kind to Ruby. Holly's mum was a bit over excited about Joe's sculpture. Yasmin was a bit demanding. The moral of the story was be happy with what you have!

I loved the book because it didn't run out of problems. The book also reminded me of when I wanted a nintendo. But I don't have an older brother; I have a younger one. I thought it was funny when they said to Ruby's mum "did you have any nice babies today?". I also thought her dad was very clumsy.

My Favourite Book "My favourite book is the Guinness Book of Records. I like that book because it has everything, Sport, Human Achievements, Fame and Money, the Human Body and lots more. Another good thing about the Guinness Book of Records is that it is for boys and girls and that is why the Guinness Book of Records is my favourite Book.’’
Carl Delaney:
"My favourite book has to be ‘’Stormbreaker’’ by Anthony Horowitz. It’s the most gripping spectacular book I have ever read! It’s full of action and adventure. It’s about a teenager turned cyperspy working for MI6, British Intelligence. Cool gadgets, nice girls, awesome cars, bikes and even snowmobiles! That’s why I like it. It’s a total boy’s book. Explosions, guns, blood and especially the character himself. I recommend this book to any boy or tomboy who likes action! There are five books in total in the series. If you like the first one then you’ll love the other four. Here they are in order. Keep a look out! Stormbreaker, Point Blanc, Skeleton Key, Eagle Strike and Scorpia.’’
Niall Cloake:
My Favourite Book "Hi my name is Niall. I am eleven years old. I am going to tell you about my favourite book. Strange Irish Tales for children is a great book by Edmund Lenihan in which loads of little stories including Fionn Mac Cumhail and the Fianna, fighting in great battles, right down to doing a party piece at a feast. The story starts with Fionn swimming over to Norway to bring back the blackbird to Ireland to help an old man to sing. I won’t tell you anymore because I want you to find out yourself.’’
Andrew O’Brien:
"My Favourite book is The Famous Five on hike together. Julian, Dick, George, Anne and Tim the dog go on a hike. But why does an escaped convict send a message to Dick in the middle of the night. That’s what I like about the Famous Five books, the adventure is so exciting you can’t put the book down. I would give it ten out of ten. But when the police won’t help them, then it gets more and more interesting because they have to find out who is behind all of this and who are Maggie and Dirty Dick and can the Famous Five find out what a little piece of paper means. Find out when you read Famous Five on hike together.’’

Hayley Jenkinson:
" My favourite book is "Goodnight Mister Tom’’. The book is about little shy William Beech who evacuated to the small village Weirwood during World War Two to live with Mister Tom, a lonely widower. The book tells of how Willie grew to love Tom (and his dog) and how he and his new best friend Zacheras (Zach for short) get on in the school play. But then one day, just when Will was growing to love this new place, he is told that he has to go back to his mother in London. The book is very moving, yet funny at times. I gave it 10/10, full marks. I would recommend it for any boy or girl from 11 years up. It was brilliant!!’’
