Scurlogstown Olympiad All Ireland Hay-Making Festival - Adventure Play Ground for Hay making Festival At Porchfields, Trim, Sunday, 15th June, 2008
Date Released: 30 May 2008
Scurlogstown Olympiad have the great pleasure to offer all families a chance to avail of their all new adventure play ground as part of this years hay making festival.
This will compliment the All Ireland Scythe Cutting Competition, The World Champion Sheaf Tossers, a Donkey Derby, a Goat Show, a Dog Show, a Working Horse, Vintage Tractors and last but not least the machinery saving the hay.
Now families with children, for the first time, can avail of an adventure playground built close to the hospitality tent, where parents can take in the ambience of this unique setting in this seated area while their children are having the time of their lives in very close proximity in this original adventure play park. Parents will be encouraged to join their children while they tunnel through hay bales to find new worlds and play cow boys and Indians in an environment made safe by supervision and all the new cut hay that you could imagine.
Scurlogstown are thankful to Finn Mac Cool, The Fianna, Oisin of Tir na Og’s fame and also the ancient Tailtean games once held in Teltown, Co. Meath who inspired this idea. Parents and guardians, bring your children but leave their Sunday best at home.
