County of Meath Bye-Laws (No.1) 2010
In accordance with the powers conferred by Section 9 of the Road Traffic Act 2004 (No.44 of 2004), Meath County Council proposes, in the interest of road safety and prudent traffic management, to make the above Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws establishing the maximum speed at which vehicles are legally permitted to travel on specified public roads.
The purpose of these Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws is to take account of:
a) The M3 Clonee to North of Kells Motorway Scheme and its interfaces with existing special speed limits authorised by Road Traffic (Special Speed Limits) (County of Meath) Bye-Laws 2008 and
b) The Roads Act 2007 (Declaration of Motorways) Order 2009, which declared part of the existing N3 Clonee Bypass (between Littlepace to Loughsallagh and Loughsallagh to Pace) and part of the existing N2 Finglas – Ashbourne Road Scheme between Kilshane and Ashbourne) as Motorways.
“Draft” Bye-Laws have been prepared and will be available for inspection during normal office hours Monday to Friday from 3rd March 2010 until 2nd of April 2010 (both dates inclusive) at the following locations:
1. Meath County Council, National Roads Design Office, Navan Enterprise Centre, Trim Road, Navan, Co Meath.
2. Meath County Council, Dunshaughlin Civic Offices, Drumree Road, Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath.
3. Meath County Council, Ashbourne Civic Offices, Town Centre, Ashbourne, Co. Meath.
4. Meath County Council, Navan Area/Town Offices, Town Hall, Watergate Street, Navan, Co. Meath.
5. Meath County Council, Trim Area/Town Offices, Mornington House, Summerhill Road, Trim, Co. Meath.
6. Meath County Council, Kells Area/Town Offices, Town Hall, Headfort Place, Kells, Co. Meath.
7. Meath County Council, Slane Area Offices, Main Street, Duleek, Co Meath
8. Meath County Council, Infrastructure Department, County Hall, Railway Street, Navan, Co. Meath.

Any person may submit to the Council objections in writing to the “Draft” Bye-Laws, on or before 2nd April 2010 and the Council shall consider such objections.
