ROAD WORKS SPEED LIMIT ORDER

NAVAN & MID-MEATH WATER SUPPLY SCHEME – CONTRACT 3

Road Traffic Act 2004

Notice is hereby given that in accordance with Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act, 2004 and in the interests of road safety, the County Manager has made a Road Works Speed Limit Order at the locations described in the Schedule below in respect of the above works

Schedule


1. -  Section of Commons Lane (L7419) at Commons and Duffsland, Navan

from its northeast junction with the Commons Road (L3414) to a point 402m north of the same junction.

2. -  Section of Commons Road (L3414) at Commons, Hanlonstown, Balreask Old, and Gainstown, Navan

from a point 15m northeast of its junction with the Commons Lane (L7419), at existing 50km/h speed-limit plates, to Gainstown Crossroads, its junction with Local Roads L4007 and L8010.

3. -  Section of Local Road L4007 at Gainstown, Navan

from Gainstown Crossroads to a point 41m south of the same junction.

4. - Section of Local Road L8010 at Gainstown, Navan

from Gainstown Crossroads to a point 34m west of the same junction.

5. - Section of the old N51 Athboy Road at Mullaghmore, Boyerstown, Commons, Robinrath, Mullaghboy, and Townparks, Navan

from a point 40m east of its junction with the new realigned N51 National Secondary Route at Mullaghmore to a point 41m southwest from the centreline of the circulating roadway of its roundabout junction with the Navan Inner Relief road (Phase 2B) / Athboy Road / Bohermeen Road / Clogherboy housing estate through road (N51 / N51 / L7418 / L34145).

6. - Section of Mullaghboy Industrial Estate Entrance Road at Mullaghboy, Navan

from its junction with the old N51 (Athboy Road), straight through the first crossroads junction in the Estate, to a point 449m south of its junction with the old N51, at the end of a cul-de-sac road.

The Road Works Speed Limit to be applied shall be 50km/h.

The Temporary Speed Limit will apply from 29th June 2010 to 29th November 2010.

The County Manager shall have regard to any representations that are made to him in relation to this Road Works Speed Limit Order.
