Swan River Flood Alleviation Scheme
In accordance with the above Regulations, Navan Town Council hereby gives notice of its intention to carry out the following works on lands adjacent to the west of Balreask Manor, Canterbrook and also Kilcarn Court estates in the townland of Balreask Old, Navan, County Meath:
Schedule:
- Construction of a reinforced concrete flood wall and earth embankment to the west of the Balreask Manor and Canterbrook housing developments, adjacent to the Swan River.
- Realignment of the Swan River upstream of the old railway embankment adjacent to Kilcarn Court
- Provision of a new reinforced concrete culvert beneath the railway embankment adjacent to Kilcarn Court
Plans and particulars of the proposed scheme will be available for inspection or purchase at a cost not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, during normal office hours (excluding Bank Holidays) for the period from Monday 9th August 2010 to Monday 20th September 2010 at the following locations:
(a) Navan Town Hall, Watergate Street, Navan, County Meath
(b) The Planning Department, Abbey Mall, Abbey Road, Navan, County Meath
Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the proposed development would be situated may be made in writing to:
