TRIM TO CONTEST INTERNATIONAL FINAL IN THE UNITED STATES

Trim has been included in the list of finalists for an international competition to be held in the United States later this year.
The LIVCOM Awards were launched in 1997 and are endorsed by the United Nations Environment Programme.
They focus on best practice regarding the management of the local environment.
Trim has been short-listed in category A, which is for areas with a population of up to 20,000, along with towns from the US, Canada, Estonia and Russia.
The Town's application focused on a number of different headings such as enhancement of the natural and built landscapes, Arts, culture and Heritage and Environmental Best Practice.
The finals take place in Chicago in early November.
