Traffic / Roads Update - Temporary roads closure to facilitate the staging of the Dunboyne Cycling Festival by Dunboyne Cycling Club in Dunboyne Village. - from 7.30a.m - 5pm Saturday 19th May and from 8am – 2pm Sunday 20th May 2012

Having given Notice, Meath County Council has made an order closing the L2228 (old R156) in Dunboyne Village to through traffic from it’s junction with the L2227 (old Navan/Maynooth Road) to it’s junction with the L2221 (Rooske Road)
This closure is required to facilitate the staging of the Dunboyne Cycling Festival by Dunboyne Cycling Club in Dunboyne Village.
Duration:
The proposed closure will take place from 7.30a.m-5pm Saturday 19th May and from 8am – 2pm Sunday 20th May 2012
Alternative Routes:
- Traffic Travelling west from Clonee to Dunboyne will take the second exit off Loughsallagh roundabout onto the R147 (old N3) and follow signage for Dunboyne Village.
- Traffic Travelling east from Summerhill to Dunboyne can access the village as far as the old Navan/Maynooth Road– L2227/L2228 junction but will then be diverted via the Maynooth Road.
- Traffic Travelling north from the L2221 (Rooske Road) will turn right at the traffic lights at the L2228/L2221 junction and take the first exit off Loughsallagh roundabout onto the R147 (old N3) and follow signage for Dunboyne village
Diversion signs will be in place.
Local Access:
Residents and property holders will be facilitated with access throughout the closure period
