Keep it Kells – Free Parking Initiative - free parking in Kells every Saturday from 12.00 - 3.00p.m. commencing the 19th May and continuing until 25th August, 2012.

Date Released: 14 May 2012

Kells Town Council is delighted to announce the introduction of free parking in Kells every Saturday from 12.00 - 3.00p.m. commencing the 19th May and continuing until  25th August, 2012.

The purpose of the ‘Keep it Kells’ free parking initiative is to entice more visitors and customers into the town of Kells and to encourage people to take time to explore the many shops, enjoy a bite to eat and perhaps take a tour of the historical sights.

The Chamber of Commerce is very positive towards this new initiative and for the period of the free parking, businesses will have many ‘Saturday’ promotions and special offers for their customers.

The Cathaoirleach of Kells Town Council, Cllr. Brian Collins has welcomed the initiative “free Saturday parking will provide a wonderful opportunity for individuals and families to come to Kells for a couple of hours and take advantage of all that the town has to offer; I hope that everyone will come on board to make it a success and put Kells back in business” he said.
