Pre-Planning Clinics

For One Off Houses and Domestic Extensions

Meath County Council have introduced pre planning clinics to provide advice to persons intending to apply for planning permission for one off houses or domestic extensions.

The Clinics will operate in a revised format than previously applied and in particular:

Meetings with Planning Officials at the Clinics will be by appointment only.

Persons granted such an appointment must submit the following information at least 7 days before the appointment.

  • A local needs form to demonstrate the proposed applicants, family, social and functional ties with the area where the site is located.
  • A site location map to a scale of 1:2500 with the site and the full holding from which it is taken clearly marked thereon.
    (if applicable)
  • Any other information which the proposed applicant deems relevant in support of their proposals.

A record in writing of consultations that relate to a proposed development shall be kept and become part of a pre-planning file which in turn will be incorporated into the full planning file if the application is subsequently made.

If you are interested in attending a pre planning clinic, please telephone Planning Staff on 046-9097000.
