County Meath Development Plan 2007-2013

The new County Development Plan 2007 – 2013 was adopted on March 2nd last and took effect from Thursday March 29th. The majority of the new County Development Plan is now available for download and includes :

• Volume I (Objectives for the County at Large) inclusive of the accompanying book of maps and the Record of Protected Structures (Appendix V) with  accompanying book of maps and;
• Volume II (detailed Written statements and Development Objectives) inclusive of the accompanying book of maps.

The remaining parts of the plan, namely Appendix VI of Volume I (Landscape Character Assessment inclusive of the accompanying book of maps) and the Environment Statement will be added in the coming weeks.

Whilst hard copies of the County Development Plan are now available at the Planning Department, County Hall and at all Area Offices for public inspection, it will be 3 – 4 weeks before copies of the full County Development Plan are available for purchase due to printing delays.

County Meath Development Plan

The existing County Development Plan was adopted on 5th March 2001 and remains in force until March 4th 2007, unless otherwise superceded by a revised County Development Plan.

Meath County Council are now in the process of reviewing the County Development Plan for the period 2007 – 2013. This will take the form of a strategic review, aimed at determining a development strategy for the proper planning and development of County Meath for the next decade, in line with adopted council and corporate policy.
