Special Speed Limits & Speed Limit Orders
In accordance with Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act, 2004 and in the interests of road safety, the County Manager has the power to invoke a Road Works Speed Limit Order at locations described in a Schedule in respect of works to be carried out in a given location. This means that the existing speed limit for that location will be changed (usually lowered) for the duration of the period set out by the County Manager's Order.
