Provision of Housing for Use as Emergency Accommodation
Meath County Council invites tenders from property owners to provide the following:
To provide suitable and appropriate accommodation for persons seeking short term emergency housing accommodation. The accommodation should ideally be located in Navan but suitable properties in other areas of the County may be also be considered.
The accommodation, which should be capable of accommodating between 10 and 15 people, will be managed by Meath County Council or An Agency designated by the Council. However consideration may also be given to proposals by the property owner to provide a management, maintenance and support service.
The Council may consider either the provision of an entire building or part of a building provided it complies with all other elements of this tender and specification.
The arrangement will be the subject of a Lease or other appropriate or suitable agreement up to a 5 year period and with rent guaranteed for the whole lease period based on bed night usage basis.
The property must comply with the provisions of the Housing (Standards for Rented Houses) Regulations 2008 and with all planning, energy building and other regulations.

Invitation to Tender for County Meath Tree,Woodlandand Hedgerow Survey
Meath County Council in association with the County Meath Heritage Forum and the Heritage Council invites tenders from suitably qualified professionals to carry out a tree (include significant, mature, champion and heritage), woodland and significant hedgerow survey for County Meath. This survey will provide baseline ecological data and will identify, photograph and map, type, extent and condition of selected habitats. For the purposes of the study habitats occurring in these areas will be included.
Tender proposals must be submitted by 3.30 pm on 29th June 2010. Tenders must be submitted in writing and marked “Tender for Meath Tree, Woodland and Hedgerow Survey” and addressed to Mairéad Maguire, A/Heritage Officer, Planning Department, Meath County Council, Abbey Mall, Abbey Rd., Navan, Co. Meath.
