Daily Heritage Tours of The Heritage Town of Kells

(10:00 a.m. Headfort Arms Hotel)

The monastic site in Kells is considered by many historians to be one of the most important monastic sites in Ireland.  
It is on the tentative list for consideration as a World Heritage Site.

Follow the footsteps of the monks as we walk up to the highest point in the town where St. Columba established a
religious settlement in 550 A.D.

We will visit:
- the Monastic site
- the Round tower
- the High Crosses
- St. Colmcille’s House (where the Book of Kells may have been written)

Minimum 2 persons - €10.00 per person (accompanying children free)
Conditions: Tours are subject to availability. Group prices available on request.
Add On’s Available: Visit the 5,000 year old passage tombs in Loughcrew in the afternoon – or visit the National Heritage Area of the Girley Bog with Meath Eco Tours.
Recommendations: Book Early! Please book the day before if possible.
