Ardmulchen

On this commanding height overlooking the river Boyne are the remains of an Anglo-Norman motte and the ruined church of Ardmulchan. These consist of a tower or belfry and a few sections of the old walls. The church is surrounded by a graveyard and the remains of the walls, which are supposed to be those of a castle once, owned by the Tyrells.
