Hill of Lloyd

There is an impressive folly in the shape of a lantern erected on the hill in 1791 to the memory of Sir Thomas Taylor, 1st Earl of Bective. There is also a monument to him that can be seen in Kells Protestant Church. Another monument in the public Amenity Park commemorates the victims of the Great Famine.
