Meath Tourism Information Technology Workshop
Cavan Monaghan Rural Development (CMRD) in conjunction with Meath Tourism Ltd organised an Information Technology Workshop on Tuesday 26th August in Navan Education Centre at 11.30am and finishing at 3.00pm. The main purpose of the workshop was introduce the basic skills and knowledge necessary to improve online knowledge. It encouraged Meath Tourism members to develop better web-links to facilitate increased ‘search engine optimization’ and to provide potential clients with a better understanding of Meath Tourism products.
This workshop provided an overview of basic IT skills in terms of on-line marketing and best practice approach to online communication. There was an introduction to social networking as a tool in communicating the benefits of your business and driving more traffic to your website.
The workshop was presented by John Toland, CMRD and two guest speakers; Declan Connolly, Alice's Loft www.alicesloft.com and Joanne Reel , Castle Leslie www.castleleslie.com
Both of the speakers demonstrated practical examples of how they have implemented best practice in maintaining their website and effectively target clients through their eMarketing techniques.
This workshop was provided free of charge and spaces were available on a first come first served! Participants agreed that they learned a great deal of knowledge from the workshop and the standard of delivery from all speakers was clear and concise.
