Local Enterprise Office

Meath Local Enterprise Office (LEO) provides a full information and advisory service to new and existing entrepreneurs on all aspects of setting up and running a business.

The Meath LEO serves as a first stop shop to provide support and services for those looking to start, grow and develop a business in Meath.  The office also acts as an information source and referral point for all state enterprise agencies and for other initiatives, providing information on enterprise incentives, business structures, taxation, regulatory obligations, market research, etc.

Meath County Council through Meath Local Enterprise Office (LEO) were successful in securing funding as part of the Local Diaspora Engagement Fund through Connect Ireland in 2015.

As a result of this funding, a promotional video of Meath LEO was produced highlighting its engagement with the start up community in County Meath and the supports on offer to Meath Diaspora who are looking to come home to start a business.

This marketing video provides an understanding of how Meath LEO serves as a first stop shop in providing supports and services for those looking to start, grow and develop a business in Meath. 

Meath Enterprise Week 2014

With an objective to showcase Meath, the inaugural Meath Enterprise Week, Conference and Exhibition took place from 17th – 21st November 2014.   Focusing on three distinct themes of Digital, Food and Women in Business, the week long programme included over 30 enterprise events, seminars, workshops and school programmes taking place all across County Meath. The week culminated in a Business Showcase and Conference in the Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim. A live twitter feed throughout the conference added to the relevance of the event in the current digital age. 

Meath Enterprise Week showcased what Meath has to offer including a talented workforce, accessibility, affordable facilities and the perfect lifestyle for staff. It was apparent that Meath are attracting companies to set up business in the county. 

Fáilte Ireland Ireland Inspires Video

Fáilte Ireland and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade have launched a new video which will be played for audiences gathering at Irish Embassy events across the globe this St Patrick's Day and features our World Heritage Site @Newgrange

ConnectIreland, was appointed by IDA Ireland to deliver the Irish Government's Succeed in Ireland initiative as part of the Action Plan for Jobs. If you know somebody who works in a company overseas that is expanding internationally, then ConnectIreland is for you. If that company establishes operations in Ireland and jobs are created, you, as the Connector, will receive €1,500 per job created (minimum 3 jobs, maximum 100 jobs).
