The purpose of the stream is to support and incentivise the conservation of traditional Irish-language shop facades within the criteria of essential repairs and small capital works for the refurbishment and conservation of historic Irish-language shop facades, windows, signage and other associated details to safeguard the shop facades and keep them in use. The additional funding will be made available under the historic shopfronts stream of the Historic Structures Fund.
